WAVE2M is an international non-profit standard development organization founded to promote the global use and enhancement of WAVE2M, an emerging wireless communication technology standard for ultra-low-power and long-range devices.

WAVE2M is a two-way wireless connectivity technology platform for applications that need to manage small amounts of data with low radio traffic, ultra-low-power management and high reliability. WAVE2M-enabled devices are already at work in a variety of AMR (automatic meter reading), AMI (advanced meter infrastructure), home and building automation, industrial automation, medical and environmental UHF-active long-range RFID applications.

As of today we have published the Full WAVE2M Specification version 1.0 for layers 1 and 2, this is available to all paying active members of the WAVE2M Communty. We are working on improvements to this open specification as well as studying the integration of IP into the Network layer of WAVE2M. We have also created a Work Group for application layers and are preparing the WAVE2M Certification process to certify WAVE2M enabled devices.
